This beautiful and well-equipped cottage offers the perfect "home-away-from-home" in England's most rural county.
Accommodation Recently renovated to a high specification throughout, the warm and cosy sitting / dining room has a wood-burning stove. The kitchen looks out onto the enlosed garden, with barbecue deck, secluded by woodland. There is a big double bedroom with super king size bed upstairs, together with the bathroom. Downstairs, the twin bedroom (can be made up as a super king size bed) has french windows onto the garden. There are TVs in both bedrooms. Outside - In the summer and autumn, there is an old-fashioned lawn tennis court for guests to use.
- Our games room (table footy, darts, table tennis, pool) is housed in the old coach house, just next door to the cottage.
- There is a cross country course in the park with walks through ancient woodland and along the Shippton burn which runs under stone bridges to fill the trout lake before meandering towards the Heritage Coastline.
- Careful environmental management ensures that wildlife is abundant at Charlton Hall, nesting buzzards, roe deer, a badger sett, foxes dens, hares boxing, red campion, bluebells, elderflower and wild garlic all thrive here.
Linen, towels, electricity, central heating and as many logs as you can burn are all included in the price.
Guests are welcome to bring horses (stabling can be arranged) and dogs.
