 Chance Cottage is a delightful 18th Century self-catering holiday cottage, situated 1 mile from the centre of Mere, conveniently placed on the Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset borders. The cottage is an excellent base to explore these beautiful surrounding counties.
Accommodation The cottage sleeps 4 / 5 in three bedrooms, making it ideal for families or couples. The cottage has secure off road parking for 2 cars, and there is a lovely south facing garden and patio. Pet (one only) is welcome free of charge by arrangement. Prices include all power, fuels, bed linen, towels and logs. Great new pub only 10 mins walk. 
Nearby are the towns of Gillingham and picturesque Shaftesbury with larger supermarkets and extra general facilities. Some of the many attractions in the area include Stourhead House and Gardens (NT) only 5 minutes drive, Stonehenge 20 minutes, Longleat House and Safari park 20 minutes, the Cathedral City of Salisbury 30 minutes, Bath 45 minutes.
The cottage is only an hour from the beautiful Dorset coastline with the sandy beaches of Studland and Sandbanks at Poole or stunning scenery and coastal walks to be found at Kimmeridge and Lulworth Cove.
