17-24 September 2011:
Arrived to this lovely house in such a fantastic location.  Even the sun was out to greet us!  The party this trip included Lesley Fegen (fiance) Gordon & Margaret Fegen (Lesley's parents) and myself Forbes Winchester.

Visited Elgol on a very showery but sunny pm Thursday and Portree Friday in true Skye weather, this being the first day of the weather showing itself.  This being the end of a lovely week having married at the beautiful Kilmore church on Tuesday in good weather with the reception at Kinloch Lodge.  Wedding party including my parents, sister and kids (who were staying elsewhere in Camus Cross).  Stayed over at Kinloch Lodge on Tuesday night, with the bride and I taking in a second night.  I would strongly recommend Kinloch for dinner.

Leaving today (Saturday) with the lovely Mrs Winchester with the 'outlaws in tow'.  The end of a most memorable week and our 4th holiday on the Misty Isle.

We really enjoyed the house.  The views are spectacular and ever changing.  We particularly enjoyed a moonlit night ov er the Sound.  Children  all enjoyed the garden as well as the crabbing off the pier (crab total for weeks =177, and all released unharmed)!

We took a walk over to the Point of Sleat and loved the sandy beach. We had ALL types of weather and all in all a thoroughly enjoyable week.  Many thanks.

A lovely fortnight at Camus Cross; loved the house and the views.  Weather mixed but enjoyed some good walks:- Point of Sleat, Sgurr Dearg, Clan Donald Centre - excellent, Dunvegan, art - Pam Carter, Bay Pottery, Ragamuffin, Skye Batiks and chef Robert at Pub at Pier.

A peaceful, beautiful place to be far from the idiots and looting down south.

What a magical week!  It's rare to find the publicity underplays a holiday home' but that's the case here - a stunning home in a glorious location.  We really appreciated how well equipped the house is and made full use of the kitchen specially then we sat and enjoyed the ever changing views and contrast.  When we could bear to tear ourselves away we returned to the beautiful fairy pools at Glen Brittle and the stunning beach at the Point of Sleat, plus a few local tramps across the hills, usually finishing at the pub (very friendly and lovely meals) at the pier.  We had sightings of otters (here at Camus Cross)and dolphins (at the Point of Sleat beach) as well as visits from local cats, dogs and ducks - all very welcome.  We feel as though we have just scratched the surface of what Skye has to offer and are already planning annual return visits, without the excuse of a 50th Birthday to celebrate. Thanks for providing a really comfortable and welcoming home from home.

Lovely house, excellent facilities, stunning location.  Thank you for the suggestions on what to do and see.  We've had a great week, only one problem, not long enough - aah!
