 Castle Steading overlooks the ruins of Aros Castle, ancient home of the Lords of the Isles, with views across Salen Bay to the hills beyond. Situated two miles north of the village of Salen, this provides an ideal base for touring, hill walking, birdwatching and sightseeing.
This scenic area, rich in wildlife, provides great opportunities to see otters, deer, seals, golden and sea eagles as well as countless other species of birds.
Cottage No.3 accommodation is as follows:
 The cottage has been refurbished with central heating, new kitchen and shower room installed. It has just been awarded 3 star Tourist Board grading.
Downstairs: - Bedroom with double bed + futon bed.
- Bedroom with two single beds.
- Shower room.
Upstairs: - Bathroom.
- Kitchen/lounge with wonderful views of the ruins of Aros Castle and Salen Bay.

A beautiful location beside ruins of 13th century Aros Castle. Area rich in bird and wildlife. Ideal for walking, fishing and touring island.
