Welcome to Cardross Estate, Scotland, where you can enjoy a holiday at one of our self catering holiday homes set in a beautiful Scottish area adjacent to Scotland's first National Park - The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. - If you are looking for a holiday location in Scotland, then we may have your self catering answer.
- Cardross Holiday Homes are owned and managed by Archie and Nicola Orr Ewing and all the self catering cottage accommodation is located within the 4000 acre Estate.
- All guests of Cardross self catering Holiday Homes are welcome to enjoy the amenities of the estate where our main business is farming, forestry and conservation.
- The self catering accommodation currently includes a renovated estate cottage, a farmhouse and a bothy.
 Gartur Bothy
This is an attractive cottage forming part of a traditional farm courtyard. Recently renovated it provides comfortable and roomy self catering accommodation in a beautiful area of Scotland. Its situation at the end of a private road ensures a peaceful stay. - On the ground floor is a spacious living room with a wood burning stove, a kitchen/dining room, bathroom and utility room with a washer/drier.
- On the first floor there is a double bedded room (or twin if required) and a twin bedded traditional cottage bedroom, both with spectacular views over the Scottish landscape.
- In all, Gartur Bothy can accommodate 4 to 5 persons.
- The bothy has the use of a south facing grassed area adjacent to the steading with far reaching views.
- To the east are views of the Loch Ard Forest and Ben Lomond.
- A wooden garden hut contains garden furniture and a barbecue.
Yew Tree Cottage (photo at top of page)
This traditional country cottage is set in the small hamlet of Dykehead with wonderful views over open countryside offering a perfect spot for a self catering vacation. - The accommodation is all on one floor and consists of a lounge/dining room with open fire, pine kitchen, two twin bedded rooms (doubles if required), and a bathroom with shower.
- In all, Yew Tree Cottage can accommodate 4 persons.
- Adjacent to the backdoor is a spacious 'utility' outhouse containing a washing machine and tumble drier, and the barbecue and garden furniture.
- The gardens are enclosed and at the front have a wonderful view towards the Campsie Fells and Fintry Hills.
 Arnvicar Farm
This renovated farmhouse forms part of a traditional Scottish farm steading no longer used in the farming business. The self catering accommodation provides for comfortable family vacations in a peaceful Scottish rural location. - On the ground floor there is a spacious kitchen/dining room; a lounge with open fire, two chair beds; shower room, and lobby with coat and boot storage.
- The kitchen is equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
- Upstairs there are two bedrooms which may be twin or double bedded, a smaller bedroom with bunk beds, and a bathroom.
- In all, Arnvicar Farmhouse can accommodate 6 to 8 persons.
- There is an enclosed garden and a south facing courtyard with an adjacent games and leisure room.
- To the south can be seen the Fintry Hills and Campsie Fells and to the west, Ben Lomond.
 Ash and Hawthorn Cottages
(both sleep 4)
These newly renovated cottages are a barn conversion next to Arnvicar Farmhouse and apart from decorative differences are almost identical. - On the first floor each has two double (or twin bedded) rooms and a bathroom and on the ground floor an entrance lobby, shower room, storage cupboard and open plan living room, kitchen with open coal fire.
- Through a communal lobby they have access to a utility room containing the washing machine and tumble dryer, barbecues and garden furniture.
- The fully fitted pine kitchens are equipped with electric cookers, fridge freezers and microwave.
- The cottages have radio/CD players, colour Combi TVs and satellite available for guests who wish to bring their own decoders.
- Ash and Hawthorn can be combined for larger parties of up to 8.
- The cottages face west and look over open farmland with, on fine days, a lovely view of Ben Lomond.
- They have a large enclosed garden and through the rear lobby have access to the Games Room at Arnvicar.
