The Captain's House is a beautiful, spacious holiday home, with grade II listed status and is situated on one of the finest streets in Appledore. Situated on the North Devon coast, Appledore has something to offer everyone, whether it be a quiet holiday meandering around the quaint narrow streets of this historic fishing and visiting the well established galleries, to activities such as surfing on one of Devon's finest blue flag beaches, kayaking on the River Torridge and cycling along the Tarka Trail.
The village is full of charm with narrow lanes and a number of pubs, shops and galleries offering good food and a friendly family environment. There is a good range of local facilities including a general store, newsagents, patisserie/tea rooms and highly commended local chip shop. There is a sandy surfing beach 1 mile away (Westward Ho!).
Appledore is an old fishing village situated on the North Devon coast. Step out of the house and enjoy views across the Torridge estuary to Instow. The Captain's House is situated in Bude Street, which is part of a conservation area, just 70 yards from the quayside. The house is situated in one of Appledore's finest streets and has grade 2 listed status. The property has recently been refurbished. - The property is light and spacious and covers three floors, with 3 bedrooms (two doubles and a twin room), a large loft room (which has additional sleeping capacity) lounge/diner, separate fully equipped kitchen, bathroom (with shower) and downstairs shower room with WC.
- The property has a sunny south facing courtyard garden, equipped with table and chairs.
- The property has Television, Video, DVD, CD player, Microwave, Freezer, Dishwasher and Washing Machine.
