Situated in beautiful countryside, with panoramic views, Candy Cottage is ideally situated for visiting the many attractions of the area, being only 4 miles from Alton Towers, 10 miles from the Potteries and on the Southern edge of the Peak District.
Many walks can be taken directly from the cottage and our farm is next to a 60 acre nature reserve where guests may walk, enjoy bird-watching, and see the herd of Shetland ponies grazing. The Manifold Valley traffic-free trail is nearby and secure storage is available for bicycles. Guided or linear walks can be arranged.
 
 Accommodation Located on the owner's working farm, the cottage has a lounge, equipped with colour television, video, DVD/CD player, and overlooking a large garden. The well equipped kitchen/diner has electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer. There are two bedrooms, one has two single beds, the other has a double bed. A cot and high chair are available. The bathroom has bath with shower over. Linen and central heating included. Guests may use the large garden which has a swing, feed the ducks and hens, and fuss over Ginty and Saccy, the horses, or relax and enjoy the surroundings. Ample parking is provided next to the cottage. An excellent village shop is one mile away. There are several inns in the area, all serving good food, to which transport can be arranged.
