This is a popular, small, cosy and comfortably furnished croft cottage situated on a hill on a semi working croft on which lie the ruins of old blackhouses where sheep now roam. It faces south in a small peaceful and secluded village on a bay on the Minch coast, surrounded by scenic views of sea, loch and hills.
 The cottage is ideally situated for trout fishing as it is surrounded by brown trout lochs which are mostly free of charge to fishing and excursions, visiting historical, architectural interest as well as magnificent landscapes and lovely beaches.
Calbost, South Lochs is 30 miles by road from the ferry terminus and airport in Stornoway and about the same road distance from the ferry terminus at Tarbert in Harris.
