Butcombe Farm is a fourteenth century, grade 2 farmhouse with listed outbuildings, all converted to provide every comfort while retaining original features, such as inglenook fireplaces and oak beams. The farm, which also includes B&B accommodation, is set in eight acres of ground which provide grass areas and benches, tables and chairs and facilities include outdoor heated pool, gym and games room. Eight cottages in all provide accommodation for two to six people. All are equipped with TV and video, fridge, microwave, fan oven and all equipment and utensils. Linen, towels and electricity are also included in the price. We are set in the tranquil countryside of Somerset, surrounded by field and woodland, with many a footpath crossing the hills - including one starting at the farm itself. Blagdon Lake, close by, is a conservation area, with a lovely walk round the perimeter and world renowned fly fishing.
Bristol and Bath are within forty minutes by car. Also within easy reach are Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury, and the Mendip Hills.
Aromatherapy massage, clay pigeon shooting, tank driving and wine tasting can be pre-arranged and enjoyed nearby.
