The cottage is on a hillside in a quiet, sparsely populated, stunning upland location in the Burren hills, off the beaten track. It overlooks Carron Turlough and is ideal for walking holidays, for the naturalist, photographer or painter. There are a wealth of wildflowers and archaeological remains to be discovered nearby.

The southern shores of Galway Bay from Kinvara to Ballyvaughan are a 15 to 20 minute drive away through beautiful rolling farmland.
In the tiny village of Carron, half a mile away, there is a pub serving meals during high season, a public phone and a church.
It is a 45 minute drive to Galway city, 1 hour to Shannon airport, 30 minutes to Ennis.
Excellent traditional music, fine dining, local seafood and home cooking are to be found in the pubs and restaurants in the villages of the North Clare region.

This comfortably renovated and refurbished old cottage comprises:
