BURNSIDE is an old stone built, mostly timber lined croft cottage situated on a securely fenced quarter of an acre plot of land with uninterrupted views across the Sound of Sleat to the mainland mountains of Knoydart and Morar. Ladhar Bheinn (3,346ft), on Knoydart is the highest mountain visible from the cottage.

There is private access to the shore via a path across croft land. This is not a public right of way, is steep in places and can be muddy. Walking shoes/boots and care will be needed.
The area is a haven for wildlife, buzzards are regularly seen hunting the croft land around the cottage. Marine life watching trips are available from Armadale (2 miles) during the holiday season, weather and sea conditions permitting. Whales, dolphins, porpoises and many species of seabird can be observed. Otters have been seen on the shore below the cottage.
Skye offers walking/climbing to suit any age or ability. Sea kayaking, fishing and other water sports are popular.
For those just wishing to relax Burnside is a peaceful and comfortable retreat, regularly used by the owners for this purpose.

ACCOMMODATION:

Entrance Conservatory overlooking the view with access to sitting room and hallway.
Sitting room with open fire, TV and small library of books and maps.
Kitchen/dining room, well equipped with closed solid fuel iron stove.
Hallway with stairs to first floor.
One double and one twin bedroom, both with coombed (sloping) ceilings.
Shower room with WC and hand basin.
