Traditional, early 18th C. moorland cottage. South-facing, at foot of Presceli Mountains, Pembrokeshire National Park. Built from the local bluestones - famous for their use at Stonehenge. No traffic - except sheep and ponies - but easily accessible, with ample parking space.
Totally secluded in a third of an acre of rough garden, sheltered by trees with panoramic views between. A little stream passes by the smaller of two gates that open directly onto the moor.
Safe for children and pets. Healing atmosphere. Friendly neighbours within 0.25 mile.
Ancient forts and burial grounds within walking distance. Pool large enough for bathing in nearby stream. Also ideal for riding, bird-watching, painting, writing.
Beautiful coast (4 miles), safe beaches, surfing, boating, fishing, golf (at Newport).
Accommodation Two bedrooms: one large double bed; two singles, + cot. Linen provided. Open, ground-floor living room and dining area, with inglenook open fire as well as a hunter stove which heats water (immersion alternative). Full-length bath; shaving point, heater and heated towel rail. Central heating and radiators. Annexe (converted cowshed): 1 double bed + a single folding bed. No washing-machine or microwave.
