Brook Farm is a pretty 17th century farmhouse with timbered ceilings and a log fire, half a mile from the picturesque village of Walsham-le-Willows and eleven miles northeast of Bury St Edmunds. It is set in a large enclosed garden with a patio, croquet lawn, garden furniture and a barbecue.
A heated swimming pool is just across the road, (shared with the owner who normally reserves two one hour slots a day). It is open from the first May bank holiday until 14 September. Across the road is a tennis court. There is also a games room with table tennis, a small billiards table and an exercise bike.
It is surrounded by excellent country walks, many of them on footpaths and tracks over the owners land, and is an ideal location for a family holidays or a weekend with friends. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome but there is a small charge for them.
Downstairs There are two sitting rooms with a colour TV, video (and tapes) radio cassette and CD player. The dining room which contains a piano is linked to a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, two fridges, a freezer and a dish washer. A high chair, and coin operated phone are provided. Also downstairs is a shower room, a separate WC and utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs The house has five bedrooms, two with twin beds, one double with en-suite wash basin and two single, one of which is small. There are two bathrooms with shower attachments and WCs. A cot, travel cot, two stair gates and a Z-bed are provided but the Z-bed will not fit into either of the single bedrooms.
General Oil fired heating, electricity and logs for the open fire are included in the rental. Sheets duvets and towels are provided.
