Bracken Brae is a bungalow situated on the shore of Loch Eyre, in the village of Kensaleyre. Kensaleyre is a pretty village, located seven miles north of Portree, the capital of Skye, where a variety of shops and facilities may be found. It is approximately eight miles from the ferry port of Uig, the gateway to the Outer Hebrides. It is well positioned for visiting the many attractions of northern and central Skye, including the Storr, the Quiraing and Dunvegan Castle.

Bracken Braehas large attractive gardens, with good views and a peaceful atmosphere. There is direct access to the shore of Loch Eyre through our garden gate allowing good walks at low tide. Loch Eyre is a shallow tidal sea loch, a branch of Loch Snizort, and a great place to view herons and other species of birdlife - golden eagles can be seen if you are lucky!
