The historic Boot and Shoe Cottage lies on the southern bank of the River Tees at an ancient river crossing from Yorkshire into Durham, and is close to Wycliffe village, birthplace of John Wycliff, the first translator of the Bible into English.
The cottage, which has had a colourful past combining use by a cobbler and as a pub, has now been restored to a high standard with original wall cupboards, beams and fireplaces retained.
The Accommodation Sleeps 4 or 6, and comprises:
Ground Floor: - Sitting room with open fire.
- Kitchen/dining room with wood burning stove and French windows opening onto a patio and garden overlooking the river.
- Utility room and WC.
Upstairs: - Large double bedroom.
- Attic bedroom with a single bed and a 2'6" bed.
- Bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC etc.
- Landing.
- An adjoining twin bedroom and ensuite bathroom are available if required with Boot and Shoe Cottage.
Facilities: - Fully furnished.
