• A "home from home" country holiday for 4 (or 6 if two are happy with a sofa bed);
• Very large open plan living area with high beamed ceilings - well stocked solid wood kitchen with granite worktops, having oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher;
• Spacious dining area.
• Cosy lounge area with sofa, sofa bed, tv/dvd player, music system and cast iron stove.
• There is also a useful utility with washing machine and plenty of space for outdoor gear;
• Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom and a twin bedroom;
• Stairs lead up to a master double bedroom with ensuite shower room;
• Outside is a terrace to the front and an enclosed garden to the rear with outdoor dining facilities (including barbeque);
• Bed linen and towels are provided for the 4 people, together with the duvet and pillows for the sofa bed but please bring your own sofa bed linen.
• We have also provided a travel cot, high chair and stair gate;
• The cottage is tastefully presented throughout with stylish and modern furnishings;
• Change over day is Friday and short breaks are available out of season and with late availability.

In a great location:  

• The cottage itself is in a great location, with stunning views and perfect for a holiday close to all the main attractions;
• The historic market town of Alnwick (with its famous Castle and Gardens) is only 5 minutes away and the coast is just over ten minute drive - visit the most beautiful unspoilt beaches in the land;
• The area is perfect for serious walkers and strollers alike with the Cheviot Hills a short drive away and in view from the front of the cottage;
• If you are a history fan there are more historic castles close by than anywhere else in the country.

And if you fancy a holiday with friends but like your own privacy Birlsey Cottage and our other cottage, the Bolthole (see website link) are perfect for two families being less than ten minutes drive apart.
