Benavon Cottage is situated in the beautiful tourist village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands within the Glenlivet Estate and in the Cairngorm National Park, on the scenic route from Royal Deeside (Balmoral) to Inverness.
As we are so central it is the ideal base for touring, walking (there are many walks throughout the Glenlivet Estate), hill walking, mountain biking, cycling, skiing (ski Lecht 6 miles), bowling, fishing on the rivers Avon or Spey and pony trekking.
We are surrounded by golf courses at Grantown on Spey, Nethy Bridge, Dufftown and Ballindalloch.
We are in the heart of the world famous Malt Whisky Trail.
The hotel and restaurant are situated in the attractive village square where you will find excellent bar/lounge facilities. The Clockhouse Restaurant serves food/beverages all day and an a-la-carte evening menu (during season). The Old Fire Station serves snacks and teas/coffees all day.
Groceries can be obtained from the Post Office Shop and from MacNab's Larder delicatessen.
A Post Office is situated in the village square along with the Tourist Office and Museum (seasonal).
