Belmont is a cosy Grade II listed thatched cottage in the heart of the beautiful Devon village of Bickleigh through which runs the picturesque river Exe. The accommodation provides a lounge/dining room, kitchen, a bathroom and one double bedroom. There is also a sofabed in the lounge for children or additional guests.
Accommodation  The lounge/dining room has a very cosy feel with low ceiling and exposed beams and outlook to the far side of the Exe valley. There is a TV and video player together with many popular films. Also provided is light reading, copious tourist information of the area and some family games. The sofa coverts to a double bed suitable for children or possibly additional adults. There is a mock woodburner heater to add to the country feel to this room. The kitchen is fully equipped to tourist board standards and facilities include a washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven and microwave. The back door leads to a very small sitting out area rather than a garden and there is seating in the small front garden. Upstairs, the double bedroom has a lovely country feel and further views of the valley from under the thatched roof. The bathroom comes complete with electric shower into the bath and heating. All bed linen, towels and electricity is included. Location  - The cottage is a short walk from a Railway centre and Bickleigh Mill with its luxurious shopping and Bistro. Also within easy access is the outstandingly located riverside pub, the Fisherman's Cott and the Trout Inn. Both serve excellent food.
- The Roman and Cathedral City of Exeter is just 20 minutes' drive to the south while the market town of Tiverton with its new leisure centre, golf course and supermarket shopping is just 10 minutes north. There is also a local vineyard with its cafe where quality wines can be tasted and purchased. Bickleigh also has its own castle with an 11th century chapel!
- The coasts of North and South Devon are also easily accessed from this mid-Devon location. Bickleigh is a most picturesque, typically English village and local walks, including a splendid riverside walk, are possible from the doorstep of the cottage.
The surrounding countryside is outstandingly beautiful and with its convenient access to many venues and activities, Belmont is the ideal base for your country holiday.
