- Are you looking for somewhere wild, remote, peaceful, where you can rediscover the simple pleasures of the great outdoors? Experience a different world at our converted lead miners cottage, Beckleshele, which is reported to be the site of the highest (1400 feet) of all the Weardale Norman summer hill farms introduced in the mid 1200's. It is surrounded by high moorland, is close to the Weardale Way and Killhope Lead Mining museum and is accessed via a private farm track.
- The property has been carefully and thoughtfully renovated to a high standard with ground floor bedrooms in the old cow byres and an upstairs lounge with spectacular views through the old hayloft door.
- Beckleshele is centrally located for trips to Durham City, The Lakes, Hadrians Wall, Auckland Castle and Beamish.
