Location
Beccles is a fine old market town situated on the Suffolk side of the River Waveney. The town centre is a conservation area that has been partly pedestrianised. It boasts a good selection of shops, a library, numerous pubs and restaurants and many buildings of historical interest, all within an easy walk of the cottage.

Close by, there are plenty of family days out including the famous Walberswick and Southwold beaches, which are a half-hour drive away. The local area offers plenty of wildlife, fishing, boat trips and antique hunting.

Beccles is on the border between Suffolk and Norfolk. It is approximately 15 miles from Great Yarmouth and 20 miles from Norwich.
