Beachside is a pretty 18th Century cottage only a short walk from the harbour side in Staithes. A few steps from the cottage and you are gazing over at the harbour wall onto the beach below or peering out to sea. The cottage is set amongst other ancient cottages in this historic fishing village celebrated as the home of Captain Cook.
Staithes is an atmospheric and traditional fishing village in the beautiful North York Moors National Park while just a few miles down the coast is the ancient port of Whitby, picturesque Robin Hoods Bay and the bustling resort of Scarborough. Staithes is well served with cafes, pubs and coffee shops and boasts a nationally acclaimed seafood restaurant and Bistro. It offers a Captain Cook and Staithes Heritage Museum and a craft centre full of delightful works of local artists.

Parking - There is no long stay parking in the village.
- Guests must park their cars in one of the long-stay car parks at the top of the hill leading down to the village.
- We provide a parking permit valid for use in the Bank Top Council Car Park. Availability is dependent on the previous week's guests leaving the permit at the cottage and we ask you to return it when you leave ready for the next guests.
- It is however accepted that on arrival and departure you may park outside the cottage for unloading and reloading only. The walk from the car park through the village to the cottage is less than 10 minutes.
