Beer captured our hearts and imaginations over 25 years ago and we have been regular visitors ever since. This picturesque fishing village is snuggled in the rolling hills in East Devon's beautiful coastal scenery.
The beach is a natural sheltered suntrap and has interesting rockpools to explore. The cliffs form part of the South Devon coastal footpath. This part of the coast is a World Heritage Site and is known as The Jurassic Coast.
Beer is famous for lacemakers, stone and smugglers and is an ideal resort for families with a safe clean beach with beach huts to hire and rock pools to explore. Enjoy the beach cafes, a fishing trip, a stroll along the coastal path or sample a Devon cream tea!
Beachcomber Cottage was built circa 1900 in a quiet location with great views over the village. It's just 4 minutes walk from the beach and a minute from the main street with local shops specialising in cream teas and fresh produce, gift shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. It offers superb accommodation and is exceptionally well equipped and furnished. The sunny garden is great to relax in after a long day at the beach.
Accommodation includes: Sitting room with fireplace with gas fire. There's a TV, CD / DVD player and video, games, books and DVD's to make you feel at home. The kitchen / diner is extremely well equipped with automatic washing machine, hob and oven, microwave, ironing facilities and a larder fridge. The table and chairs seat 6. Downstairs cloakroom with WC, handbasin and mirror with shaver point. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with shower above, WC and handbasin, mirror and shaver point. There are 3 bedrooms, two are double and one is twin. Travel cot and high chair provided. All rooms are tastefully furnished with good quality furniture. The cottage is fully centrally heated. It has a sunny garden with barbecue and patio furniture. It is our second home and you will find lots of little extras which you may not expect to find in a holiday cottage. The cottage is well located for the beach and for long coastal walks and exploring the delights of East Devon and beyond. Park your car on the street or in the village car park just 4 minutes walk away. Pets are welcome but are subject to a small extra charge.
