 Bay Tree Cottage is a luxurious, stylish terraced slate cottage that sleeps 2 to 4 people comfortably. It is decorated in a contemporary design, yet still retaining a cosy atmosphere, which is synomous with the Lake District area. The location of the cottage couldn't be better, as it can be found in the centre of Bowness village, with all the local shops and restaurants just around the corner, and only a five minute walk down the hill to the famous Lake Windermere, where you can take a leisurely cruise around the lake.
Accommodation As you enter the cottage you are greeted with a beautifully decorated, spacious, lounge area, complete with travertine floor and bespoke furniture. This room also features an original slate chimney breast, which houses a traditional wood burner. The lounge then leads into an elegant, dining room with seating for 4 people, and again, there is a slate fireplace, that creates a cosy feel for those winter evenings. From the dining room you enter the stylish, kitchen/ diner, which houses all the modern conveniences you need on holiday, including dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The stylish decor continues upstairs, with the master bedroom being a very luxurious, spacious room which has a romantic canopy bed, draped in white muslin. This room has the advantage of having its own shower, and wash hand basin. The second bedroom again is beautifully decorated and has that luxury 5 star feel. The large brass bed gives the room a traditional look, whilst the finishing touches add a comtemporay twist. Next to this bedroom is a fully tiled bathroom complete with bath and overhead shower, wash and basin and WC. At the rear of the cottage is a very small, yet sunny courtyard, packed with beautiful foliage for somewhere to sit and relax after a full day exploring the lakes. Bay Tree cottage provides all linen, including towels, and the electric and gas are of course free of charge. Arrival time is after 3.00pm, and departure time is 10.00am.
