Barn Cottage is part of a group of traditional stone buildings and farmhouse located in the peaceful mid-Somerset countryside, a few miles from Glastonbury, the Cathedral City of Wells and Castle Cary. Bath and Bristol are both about 45 minutes by car.
The nearest village is Baltonsborough, where there is a well stocked shop. Glastonbury and Street both have interesting small shops, including Clarkes Village.
The landscape varies from the Somerset Levels to the upland scenery of the Mendip Hills, whilst the Dorset coast at Lyme Regis is some 40 miles to the south. There are numerous historic buildings, ancient monuments, country houses and gardens in the vicinity. Good country walks and cycling. The area therefore provides many opportunities for exploring, both nearby and further afield.
Barn Cottage, once being the stables of the original farm buildings, has been converted to a high standard to provide a comfortable holiday home for your stay in Somerset. The spacious accommodation is on two floors, providing kitchen and living room opening onto a paved courtyard with old orchard beyond, and picnic table under a spreading walnut tree. The bedroom has two adjacent single beds and an en suite bathroom. Bed linen is provided, and electricity included. 3 night breaks possible - please phone for availability.
