Quiet and secluded, south-facing Barleycorn Barn is situated on the edge of Crowcombe village at the foot of the Quantock Hills in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Recently converted, the property is ten miles from Taunton and is perfect for exploring the coast and countryside of Somerset and North Devon. Exmoor National Park and the West Somerset Steam Railway are nearby, and the area is a walker's paradise. Quaint villages and ancient towns such as Dunster with its famous Castle make the region a year round holiday destination.
  • Although the Barn is self-catering, a flexible B&B option is also offered for the convenience of guests, and personal pick-ups can be arranged.
  • Short or long stays are available throughout the year.
  • There are direct walks onto the Quantock Hills and Crowcombe village has a friendly 17th Century pub serving meals in addition to a well-stocked shop and post office and church dating back to 1226.
Barleycorn Barn offers bright, cosy accommodation for two people on ground floor level and a special discounted rate for single occupancy:
  • The bedroom has either a king sized bed or twins (zip & link).
  • The beautifully furnished open-plan living room has a log burner, tv, dvd and cd player, and free internet access.
  • The kitchen area is equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge (icebox), dishwasher and washing machine.
  • There is a full bathroom, with shower over bath and heated towel rail.
  • Oak floors and exposed beams complete the relaxed atmosphere.
  • Oil central heating throughout and constant hot water.
  • All fuel, electricity, bed linen (duvets) and towels are included.
  • French doors lead onto the private patio with bistro furniture and a level path leads to a designated parking space next to the Barn.
