 Bankend Cottage is an outstanding cottage for 4 people in a quiet sunny location in the heart of the Western Lake District.

This beautiful, 17th century cottage is set in an idyllic peaceful location. Surrounded by superb countryside and fells in the heart of Ennerdale there are lovely walks and cycle rides from the door. The cottage is situated on a minor no through road adjacent to a non working farmhouse, with off-road parking and lockable bike store.

Accommodation
The cottage has been recently renovated maintaining its charming character with original beams, stone spiral staircase and fireplace and low doorways. It offers comfortable spacious accommodation of a modern standard, including:  
  • One double and one twin bedrooms.
  • Bathroom with shower and separate bath.
  • Kitchen - fully equipped (hob, oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine).
  • Spacious lounge/dining room with wood burning stove, TV/radio, DVD, CD player.
    Sunny conservatory for relaxing and bird watching.

Within walking distance of Ennerdale bridge with two pubs offering good food. The cottage is an excellent base for visiting all of the Western and Northern Lake District and is close to the beautiful coastline at St Bees. It is also a good base for walking, cycling, rock climbing, canoeing, bird watching, star gazing and relaxing.
