Badgers' Hollow is available on a nightly basis has been converted from an old Cornish watermill. Nestled in a secluded but accessible setting, it is open plan and spacious in design. There is private parking and a terrace which leads to the sitting area, which has a modern wood burning stove and satellite LCD TV. The sleeping area has k/s or twin beds and has a natural, organic feel with silk filled duvet and organic, fair-trade sheets. Guests can sleep 'green' and comfortable in the knowledge that they are cocooned in local lambs wool insulation, the furniture is from sustainable sources and the walls are finished in slate, traditional lime render or natural based paints. There is a balcony leading from the bedroom which overlooks the millpond and orchard, which catches the evening summer sun, allowing guests to maybe enjoy a Cornish wine from our cellar whilst observing the buzzard hunting for mice in the orchard, the entertaining antics of the ducks or the tumbling waterfall when the springs are running. The modern kitchen has Neff appliances including a fridge/freezer, microwave, washer and dishwasher. The luxury spa bathroom has a grand elegant feel with beamed high ceiling, stunning walk in wet room style shower, sunken Jacuzzi spa bath and even a hidden TV! The oversize fluffy organic bathrobes and towels, warmed limestone flooring, aromatherapy oils and Soya candles make bathing an organic luxurious experience. To balance our negative environmental impact, Badgers' is powered by 100% renewable energy, solar panels heat the water and the under floor heating comes from a ground source heat pump. Location - Badger' Hollow is 1.5 miles from Fowey, with it's harbour, pretty whitewashed cottages, fine selection of independent shops and plenty of waterfront bars and bistros.
- We are approx 15 minutes from the Eden Project and close to Cornwall's most stunning gardens and National Trust properties.
