This delightful croft house set in a secluded private garden overlooking Badenscallie Bay and just a few minutes walk from the beach. Although newly modernised and refurbished, it retains its traditional character and atmosphere, making it a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Deer sometimes visit the mature shrub garden and there are regular sightings of seals, otters, buzzards and other wildlife nearby.
The house is in the beautiful village of Achiltibuie, near Ullapool in Wester Ross. The area is a Scottish Wildlife Trust Reserve, a paradise for hill walkers and nature lovers and an ideal base from which to explore the lochs, moor lands, cliffs and beaches of this inviting and fascinating part of Scotland. Daily cruises visit the Summer Isles for bird and seal watching, and there are safe sandy beaches and rock pools to fascinate all ages.
Accommodation (sleeps 4 / 6) Comfortable sitting room with open fire or electric fire, TV, video/DVD player and radio, CD. Fully equipped kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, microwave, fridge. Washing machine and tumble drier are in the adjacent utility extension. Double bedroom (ground floor) and two twin bedrooms. Bathroom with bath, instant shower, WC and basin. Duvets, pillows and electric blankets are supplied. Sheets and towels can be supplied at an extra charge of £20 per week. Night storage heaters and electric fires, as well as open fire in living room. Access by private road and cars can be taken to door. Achiltibuie Village This is a welcoming community with a rich and fascinating history. Regular music and arts events are held throughout the year. There are two well-stocked grocery shops, post office, craft shops and a smokehouse in the village. You can also sample fresh local produce at the Hydroponicum, Summer Isles Hotel and Am Fuaran Bar.
