Babbling Brook is situated in the stunning area of Caragh Lake on the fringe of the Ring of Kerry. Caragh Lake is a serene spot, partly rural and partly remote with captivating mountain and lake views. This Lakeland setting is a perfect place to relax and get away from it all. It is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful Ring of Kerry, the Dingle and Beara peninsulas and the rugged Gap of Dunloe. Shops, banks, award winning restaurants and traditional, welcoming pubs are accessible in Killorglin - home to the Puck Fair festival - and also Glenbeigh village, both less than 4 miles away.

Babbling Brook is set on more than half an acre of land and offers contemporary living accommodation in the heart of Kerry coutryside.

Location:  

  • The cottage is an ideal base for pursuing a range of indoor and outdoor activities. There are scenic walks and cycle trails to be enjoyed locally (bikes are available for use), and water-sports, rock climbing and hill-walking facilities are available at Cappanalea outdoor education centre (15 minutes' drive). Unspoilt beaches, numerous golf courses, fishing and other activities, including pony trekking, are all within easy reach.
  • Nearest beaches: The blue flag, unspoilt Rossbeigh beach and the secluded Dooks beach (both sandy beaches) are each a 10 minute drive from the cottage.
  • Golf: 10 minutes' drive from the cottage is Dooks, a traditional links 18 hole golf course with beautiful views over looking the Atlantic. Other nearby golf courses include Killorglin (10 minutes' drive), Beaufort (15 minutes' drive), Killarney (25 minutes' drive) and Tralee (30 minutes' drive).
  • Fishing: Caragh Lake and Caragh River, containing salmon and trout, offer excellent fishing opportunities.
