ATTADALE is a West Highland Estate stretching from the sea on the south shore of Loch Carron to Loch Monar, 15 miles to the East. This 32,000 acre estate offers a wilderness of hills, lochs and waterfalls - lovely country if you enjoy walking, fishing and watching wildlife. Often, in the evenings, Red Deer stags come down to the cottage gardens to graze.
Attadale is an ideal base from which to explore the NW Highlands. To the North are Applecross, Loch Torridon, Loch Maree and the famous gardens of Inverewe. To the South is the magnificent scenery of Kintail and Glenelg, and just half an hour away at Kyle of Lochalsh is the bridge to Skye.
Attadale House, built in 1755, has been in the Macpherson family for many years and they have restored and extended the beautiful gardens, which include some almost tropical water gardens (made possible by the warm gulf stream) and the gardens are now open to the public from April to October.
The three cottages and croft house are situated a mile from the sea along a private road and are well equipped and attractively furnished to a very high standard: STRATHAN HOUSE
