Rooks Cottage is a Grade ll listed cottage built in 1825 and has only one of a handful of turret staircases in the Dales. The cottage is packed with traditional character with massive and gnarled old oak beams, open fires, one of which is in the traditional Yorkshire Range, York stone and pine boarded floors, and nooks and crannies in every wall. It lies in the heart of the village of Askrigg in the Yorkshire Dales and is only a couple of minutes walk from the pubs, deli, shops, restaurants and village amenities. - A traditional Yorkshire Range with an open fire takes pride of place in the farmhouse style kitchen, with its hand built antique pine cupboards and dresser and York stone flagged floors. You will also find the old bell wheel from the Parish church hanging from the massive old oak beams.
- Unusually the living room is on the first floor to take advantage of the stunning views of Wensleydale, and here you will find the second fireplace which includes the date stone for the cottage.
 - A further surprise is the secret garden, which is also upstairs, and which can only be accessed through the cottage.
- The 4 star grading awarded by Visit Britain recognises the quality and luxury of the cottage - ideal for a break away at any time of year, either as a couple or with friends and family.
