It is hard to imagine a better location for a holiday than at Pry Farm House. It is a magnificent traditional farmhouse in a stunning south facing location with some of the best views of Upper Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park that you will find. The panorama is simply stunning.

The house sits in an elevated position two miles west of Keld, by the roadside for easy access, surrounded by gardens and the original farm buildings which means that it retains its quietness and privacy. Pry House is still a working farm, and for most of the year the buildings are empty, but in Spring you will find them packed with lambs and their mothers, and may even get chance to bottle feed some of the lambs.
  • Pry House was renovated in 2005 to very high standards, and retains its original features with stone flagged and wood floors and shelves, most of the original doors, beamed ceilings, open fire and woodburner, a Rayburn in the main kitchen, and two staircases.
  • It is a beautiful house with a natural charm, and easily accommodates 8 people in luxury and comfort in 4 bedrooms.
  • This is a very special house in a superb location, has a degree of individuality hard to better in a holiday home, and is warm and welcoming with many personal touches to ensure that your stay is enjoyable and memorable.

The Accommodation and Features

  • Entrance into large stone flagged hallway with traditional stone shelves and the east staircase.
  • Utility/preparation kitchen and separate large kitchen dining room with Shaker style kitchen units and Rayburn, large pine dining table with chairs and an old church pew, and carver chair and rocking chair next to the woodburning stove.
  • There is also an old stone shelved dairy which takes some beating for keeping your beer and drinks cool in the old fashioned way.
  • Spacious lounge with beamed ceiling, an open fire, oak dresser and comfortable 3 piece suite.
  • Four bedrooms-king sized with adjacent bathroom, shared with double room.
  • Twin bedroom opposite house bathroom and ensuite double.
  • All of the beds are very comfortable with top quality mattresses and feather and down duvets to snuggle under.
  • Outside there are two gardens, a paved courtyard and parking for 4 cars. The courtyard is totally enclosed making it safe for children and pets. There is ample storage for wet coats, boots and bikes in the outbuildings.
  • The house benefits from full central heating and underfloor heating.
  • One small to medium sized well behaved pet is allowed at an extra charge and by prior arrangement with the owner. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or the beds and must not be left in the house unattended. Guests bringing a dog to Pry House are asked to keep their pet under control at all times as this is a working farm with livestock.
  • Private water supply shared with 3 other houses.
  • Features include two kitchens with electric fan oven, microwave, two fridges, freezer, Rayburn, dishwasher, open fire and woodburner, TV, video, DVD player, Sky Digital, full central heating, underfloor heating, 1 king size bedroom, 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin room, 3 bathrooms, lounge, parking for 4 cars, 2 gardens and enclosed courtyard.
