 Aird na Haunn provides luxury self catering accommodation and is situated on the beautiful Island of Eriskay. The house was purpose built for self-catering in 2003 and is divided into two luxury apartments. This property is also excellent for the larger families travelling together and gives that little bit extra privacy when required.
The Penthouse on the Upper Floor: 1 Lounge/Dining area with sea views. 1 Dining Kitchen. 1 Double bedroom with en-suite. 1 Twin bedroom. 1 Bathroom. The Ground Floor: 1 Lounge. 1 Dining room. 1 Dining Kitchen. 1 Double bedroom with en-suite. 2 twin rooms. 1 single room. 1 toilet. 1 bathroom with disabled shower (there is also a disabled ramp). Sorry we do not accept pets.
On Eriskay there is a local shop and Post Office, and also a pub called A.M. Politician, named after the famous ship which sank in February 1941, full of whisky; the film was called whisky galore. - The two main heights on Eriskay are Ben Scrien at 609ft and Ben Stack at 403 ft. It is on Ben Scrien in particular that you will find the Eriskay ponies, a class of great antiquity.
- Eriskay is now linked to South Uist by causeway, world famous for fishing and bird watching. You may also get a car ferry from Eriskay to the beautiful Isle of Barra which takes only 40 minutes.
- Eriskay also has wonderful sandy beaches and glorious views from the self catering apartments.
