Location

  • This cottage is situate in a quiet lane in the very picturesque part of the village known as "Dovedale End" Blockley, within four minutes amble of the focal point of Blockley itself, with a very friendly store staffed by villagers comprising a post office, newsagents, general stores and an inviting restaurant with light refreshments always available with a smile by those serving.
  • Antique stores, teashops (for that romantic afternoon tea with your special ladyfriend - even your spouse) are to be found within 2/3 miles e.g. Chipping Camden and Moreton-in-the-Marsh.
  • Country shows, National Trust homes with well-manicured gardens abound in this locality - not forgetting the honeypot villages of Broadway, Stow-in-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, and the unspoilt villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter.
  • Truly a trip down Memory Lane to remind ourselves of the greatness of our country and an opportunity to reminisce about former happier and peaceful times in our own history when we had time to engage in conversations and enjoy a quality of life so rarely found in our present daily pursuits.
