Aberturret Cottage is over 150 years old and set in the grounds of a lovely old house on the outskirts of Crieff. It has its own huge private garden with a summer house beside the river - perfect for children and dogs. Scotland's oldest distillery - Glenturret - is a short walk from the cottage. There are lots of beautiful walks and bike rides from the doorstep. Golf, fishing and horse-riding are also available nearby. Accommodation The cottage has an open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting area and is very well equipped and comfortable. SKY TV service is available, as is a CD player and CD player, and the cottage is well stocked with lots of books, CDs and DVDs. There is a downstairs bathroom with bath and shower, and upstairs there is another toilet and wash basin. All heating, bedlinen and towels are provided and you will find fresh fruit and flowers when you arrive. Outside, there is covered, secure storage for up to 6 bicycles. There are three bedrooms (one bed is a futon) and a cot, highchair and stairgate are available. Location - Aberturret Cottage is a perfect place to stay as a base to explore Perthshire or even further afield - our location is approximately at the centre of Scotland.
- Edinburgh and Glasgow are both about an hour's drive away, the beautiful villages on the Fife coast, including St Andrews, are just a little further and Pitlochry is less than an hour's drive.
- The nearby town of Crieff is just a couple of minutes drive from the cottage and is a lovely traditional town with all the amenities you might need, a lovely park with riverside walks, a swimming pool, lots of great little cafes and restaurants and a good range of shops.
