The Old Coach House - an 18th century five bedroom former coach house (sleeps 9 plus cot/camp bed) in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park near Hay on Wye (world famous for its book shops and literary festival) and Crickhowell. Llangorse lake with fishing and a range of water sports, kayaking on the River Wye and a climbing/horse riding centre are all within a very short drive or walk from the house. Accommodation
The large kitchen/dining room has the original flagstone floor and is very well equipped including range style oven, large fridge and many extras - bread making machine, food processor, Le Creuset casseroles etc. A refectory style table sits 10 and French doors open on to the garden. The utility room contains a second freezer and fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer.
There are four bedrooms on the ground floor, single room with basin, twin bedded room with basin, bunk bed room with basin and a large twin bedded room/playroom. This room has cable TV, Xbox 360 / Wii, DVD, Hi-fi and PS2, and large range of toys and games including small pool table. Also on the ground floor is a shower room with washbasin, WC and electric shower.
The large sitting room, with high beamed ceiling into the eaves, is on the first floor. There is a wood burning stove in the centre of the room, 2 large comfortable sofas, some lovely antiques and cable TV, DVD, video and Hi-fi. French doors lead on to a balcony and steps down into the garden.
Steps up to the master bedroom with a king size iron bedstead and then onto a room where cot/camp bed can be used. This leads on to bathroom with basin, WC and bath with shower over.
A sheltered garden with wonderful views of hills, valleys and meadows down to Llangorse Lake. BBQ, chimera, wooden table and benches.
The house is centrally heated and mobile reception is good.
Parking for 2 cars, a third by arrangement.
