• Sleeps five people in one double, one twin and a single bedroom.
• The kitchen includes a cooker, microwave and fridge and the porch houses a washer dryer and a freezer.
• The bathroom has a bath with a shower.
• The property has electric storage heating and there is also a peat fire in the living room.
• There is parking for two or three cars outside and the house is next to a working croft so various sheep, cows, hens and sheepdogs can be seen nearby and we are happy to show anyone around.
• The house has most facilities including telephone, Sky TV and DVD player.
• The dining area seats up to five people and there is a patio door to the garden at the rear.
• We provide a range of printed information about Shetland and can provide information for people with specific interests e.g. walking, fishing, ornithology, geology, diving etc.
• The house also has a high chair, a cot and a pushchair for small babies.
• If you want to bring your pets this is fine but please let us know in advance.

Askalong Chalet  

• Sleeps five people in two double and one single bedroom.
• One bedroom has an ensuite shower and toilet and there is also a bathroom with toilet.
• The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, a dish washer and a washing machine.
• The dining area can seat up to five people and has a patio door to the garden at the rear.
• The chalet has electric storage heating throughout and there is space for two or three cars outside. There is also a shed in which to store outdoor equipment e.g. bikes etc.
• The house is well equipped with telephone, Sky TV, DVD player and a radio, tape and CD audio system.

For both properties all bedding and fresh towels are provided. The kitchens are also equipped with all cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.

Location  

• Midfield Croft and Askalong are situated in Northmavine in the mainland of Shetland some 35 miles north of Lerwick and makes a good base to explore the variety of wildlife and scenery in Shetland.
• The local shop is about a mile away while the post office is about two miles from Midfield.
• Lunches and dinners are available at the Breiwick Cafe in Eshaness and at the Hillswick Hotel which are also in the Northmavine area. Many other cafes, hotels and bars are dotted throughout the islands.
• Northmavine has some of the most interesting coastline including the Eshaness cliffs, Ronas voe and Fethaland. As with the rest of Shetland it lends itself to walking, fishing, ornithology, geology, boat trips and beaches. On rainy days there are many leisure centres, most with swimming pools, to provide indoor activities.
