2 Hope Cottages is a delightful 300 year old former fisherman's cottage situated on the village green in St Helens, just outside Bembridge.

Accommodation
  • The house comfortably sleeps four people (cot additionally available) in a double bedroom and a flexible second bedroom providing either a double bed or two singles.
  • The quaint beamed living and dining room has a kitchen just off it equipped with the comforts of home.
  • The cottage garden provides welcome refuge for an al fresco lunch, barbeque or sundowner and has garden table and chairs and a children's picnic table.
Views from the cottage show the village green with an enclosed children's playground tantalisingly close; Bembridge harbour; and the Yar Valley with Bembridge Down beyond. St Helens beach is a ten minute walk away for sandcastles, swimming, rockpooling and reading the paper, and a great cafe restaurant offering a treat for everyone. The Duver is a National Trust nature reserve which is wonderful for birders, for spotting rabbits or walking. St Helens is connected to many well signposted footpaths if you fancy discovering more beautiful countryside further afield.

St Helens is a quiet, but busy, village with a Post Office, newsagent and store conveniently close. If you don't fancy cooking in the cottage, there are a couple of good restaurants on the green, and the Vine pub is in a perfect spot to enjoy a pint while watching the local cricket on a sunny summer's afternoon.

2 Hope Cottages offers a perfect holiday for almost any expectations: families or couples; the quiet village life or beach fun; nature lovers and walkers, golfers or seafaring fishermen! Come and discover your own Isle of Wight adventure in St Helens.
