 2 Hope Cottages is a delightful 300 year old former fisherman's cottage situated on the edge of picturesque St Helen's village green, close to Bembridge harbour on the east coast of the Isle of Wight, offering self catering accommodation. - The Wightlink ferry terminal at Fishbourne is a 15 minute drive.
- The cottage is within easy walking distance of the local beach at The Duver, with its National Trust openland, and has stunning views across to Bembridge Harbour and the Yar Valley beyond.
- Life in St Helen's revolves around the village green and the cottage is just a stone's throw from 2 restaurants, a village pub, 2 village stores, a bookshop, a Post Office and an enclosed children's playground.
- Sympathetically updated to suit the needs of a modern family, the cottage comfortably sleeps 4.
Accommodation: Well furnished Sitting Room with pretty fireplace and ceiling beams from HMS Hope, television with DVD player and stereo CD/radio. Open plan Dining Room with table and chairs. Well equipped small kitchen with microwave, Bosch dishwasher, toaster, slow cooker, espresso maker, hand blender and good selection of general kitchen utensils. Utility area with fridge/freezer, Siemens washing machine, door to back garden and to: Modern downstairs bathroom with shaver point & mirror, electric shower over bath and separate hand shower attachment. Double bedroom to front overlooking pretty St Helens green with views to Bembridge Harbour and the Yar Valley beyond. Double bedroom overlooking pretty cottage garden with beds that can be arranged as either a 5' double bed, 2 twin beds or 1 single with space for a cot if required. Gas Central Heating. Double Glazing. Electricity included. Highchair & range of children's cutlery, potty seat & step etc available free. Pressed Bed Linen (please bring cot linen if required). Towels available to hire. Location - St Helen's Duver, with its sandy shores and rock pools is just a short walk from the cottage.
- There are many local walks and the beach may also be reached via National Trust openland, across the old Mill Wall causeway at low tide.
