Alvescot is a small village south of Burford with easy access to the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire. There is a very popular village pub, The Plough, which is listed in the Good Pub Guide and provides a good range of food and beers. Within a five mile radius there are numerous pubs and restaurants. The River Thames is within easy reach and a variety of boats can be hired from Lechlade. The location offers easy access to the cities of Oxford and Gloucester and towns of Witney, Burford, Lechlade, Cirencester and Cheltenham.

Accommodation

Originally part of the stables to Greystones House, the cottage was converted in the 80's along with four others and now makes a cosy holiday cottage for four people.
The Cottage is delightfully furnished and benefits from a wealth of features including exposed beams, stone walls and flagstone flooring.
Downstairs is an open plan sitting, kitchen and dining area.
In the sitting area is a TV and DVD player.
The dining area seats four.
The beech kitchen includes washing machine, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and microwave.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms each with a double bed.
Bathroom with an over bath shower.
Outside there is a separate garden area.
Price includes electricity,linen and towels.
Well behaved dogs are allowed by arrangement.
