Location:

A short easy walk and you are at the harbour with its brightly painted boats that will take you out to the Farne Islands with its wonderful bird sanctuary. 1/4 mile from the 18 hole golf course that boasts the most prestigious par threes in the north of England, with its views over the magnificent coastline and some of the finest beaches in the country.
Take the quiet winding roads to the rolling hills of the Cheviots just 25 minutes away.
The whole area lies within an officially designated Area of outstanding Natural beauty.
Horse ride along the beaches or hack along the country lanes.
Particularly good to visit are Holy Island, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh its famous castle and church also Grace Darling museum, Alnwick with world famous gardens and tree house.
Berwick upon Tweed the last board town before you are in Scotland.
Edinburgh 60 miles away - take the train from Berwick and enjoy a lazy day walking along Prince's Street with its shops and stores on one side and Castle and gardens along the other.
Mayfield is a couple of minutes away from all the shops, pubs and fine restaurants of the village.
