Situated on the cliff top in the beautiful, partly-wooded 35 acre Kingsdown Holiday Park, our family-owned chalet is in a delightful location, which is sun-drenched and quiet. The chalet has a large verandah along the back, giving beautiful uninterrupted sea views across to France.  This is one of the few chalets available to let on the site with excellent direct sea views.

The 5-star Tourist Board-rated site is car-free and dog free and therefore very suitable for children of all ages. You can relax on the chalet's large decking area enjoying the views whilst your children play safely in the nearby play area in view. Our chalet is 30 metres from the car park and within a few minutes walk of the private beach, three village pubs (all serving food) and local shops including a butcher, post office, hairdresser, teashop and newsagent.

Kingsdown village is situated between Dover, with its magnificent castle and fine harbour, and Deal, with its lovely seafront (Deal beach was number 1 in the Telegraph's '10 top spots to lay your beach towel'), long promenade, fishing boats, nostalgic pier (one of only two surviving piers in Kent), plentiful shops (many independent) and good restaurants.

The area offers fantastic cliff top and beach walks, fishing, golf, boating, horse riding and sightseeing, including three local castles, the seaside resorts of Margate and Ramsgate, historic Sandwich and the channel tunnel and ferries for day trips to France. The Cathedral City of Canterbury is within easy reach.

The site facilities include: indoor swimming pool (photo above right) with children's pool area, tennis court (photo above left), volleyball pitch, crazy golf, table tennis, petanque/boules area, pool table and games room, children's play area, BBQ area, restaurant with takeaway, clubhouse and bar, launderette and Site Reception area.

Refurbished for 2009, Chalet No.17 features are: Scandinavian-style build, furnished to a very comfortable standard with parking very close by.

Ground floor:  

• Bedroom with bunk beds to sleep two (robust enough for adults) and an extra mattress with access to rear decking. Electric heater.
• Bathroom; with bath, electric shower, wash basin, WC, electric towel rail and underfloor heating.
• Separate kitchen, with electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle; access to rear decking and BBQ area.
• Sitting room/dining room; with table and chairs for 6/8 comfortable sofa and two armchairs, TV/video player with Freeview digital TV, DVD player and large selection of children's games and videos with Double doors leading to the front veranda. Electric heaters.
• Free Wi-Fi internet access in the bar area (bring your own laptop).

First Floor:  

• Double bedroom; bedside tables and clothes-hanging space. Electric heater.
• Separate WC with basin.
• Separate Twin-bedded galleried bedroom with lovely sea views. Electric heater. Stairs to ground floor (steep).

Facilities:  

• Please bring your own bed linen and towels. Please bring your own tea towels.
• Sleeps 6/8.
• Stairgate can be used at top or bottom of stairs for toddlers.
• Cot and high chair can be ordered and paid for when booking.
• Electric heaters are in each room and the chalet runs from a pound fed electricity meter. Please bring a supply of £1 coins with you.
• Sorry smoking is not permitted inside the chalet and the site is pet-free.
• You may smoke on the decking if you wish.
• If you have a larger party and wish to rent more than one chalet, we would be pleased to assist you in securing other chalets very close by. (subject to availability).

Outside:  

• Large Railed Wooden Decking with spectacular sea views, outdoor furniture, gas BBQ, lighting and heaters.
