The crofting township of Elgol perches on the Atlantic edge and nestles at the foot of the Cuillin, the most spectacular mountain range in Britain. The house has an unsurpassed location and looks out to the Hebridean islands of Eigg, Muck, Rum and Canna. - Whether you simply wish to relax and take in the scenery, enjoy a wide range of walks and climbs, bird-watch, whale-watch, or search for otters and seals, this is an ideal base.
- Boat trips operate from the village into Loch Coruisk in the heart of the Cuillin and a fast rib will take you on an exciting trip to Rum or Canna.
Accommodation No. 10 is a traditional stone built croft house which is over 100 years old but has been extensively renovated and sleeps a family of 6 comfortably. On the ground floor is a recently re-furbished kitchen/dining area, a utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer, a shower room with toilet and wash hand basin, and a cosy pine-lined lounge with multi-fuel stove. A stairway gives access to two double bedrooms on the upper floor, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. A new bathroom has recently been installed on this level. An extension to the house was built in 2001 and this provides an en-suite double bedroom on the ground floor, and a large upstairs lounge which boasts one of the finest views in the country. Heating and hot water are provided by a central heating system and electric radiators are available for back-up. Coal and logs are provided for the multi-fuel stove in the downstairs lounge. There is a payphone telephone. The house has a fenced garden with its own parking area. Guests are supplied with all bed linen and towels. Electricity is included in the cost.
